UMATEX JSC, is the management company for the Promising Materials and Technologies division of the State Corporation Rosatom. The company participates in the federal and industrial programs aimed at establishing commercial production of a wide range of carbon fibers in Russia.
The management company was established to develop the Russian market of composite materials. It comprises a research and development center, manufactories for high-tech carbon fiber, fiber-based fabrics, and prepregs.

Alabuga-Fibre, LLC is a large-scale project to produce globally competitive carbon fibers. The facility was setup in SEZ Alabuga, Tatarstan to the order of the State Corporation Rosatom.
The plant was commissioned in May 2015. It employs equipment up to the global standards and a carbon fiber technology developed by Russian engineers. The current plant capacity is over 1,400 tpa, and the potential is 2,000 tpa of carbon fiber with a new line. The products by Alabuga-Fibre match their international counterparts both in price and properties.

Prepreg-ACM joint stock company was established in 2009. It has been part of UMATEX (Rosatom) structure since 2018.
Production sites are located in the technopolis «Moscow» and the special economic zone «Dubna». Currently, the company has developed more than 200 items of fabrics and 25 articles of prepregs.
